We hope you enjoy this archive of photos taken during the various Preschool events of 2009!

SCHOOL'S OUT!

The preschool had a Country Store at the Homecoming Picnic on May 17. Everyone enjoyed shopping for homemade goodies and other fun purchases.

May 22 was the last day of school and a fun-filled day with a program in the church at 11:00 and a lunch following in the preschool building.

The highlight of the day was the graduation of the four-year-old classes.

Practice for the graduation ceremony called for a lot of smiles and hugs.

The Preschool Easter program on Thursday, April 9 was enjoyed by all as the individual classes sang songs that they had been practicing.

Volunteers from Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church prepared a wonderful luncheon for the parents and grandparents of preschool students.

After the luncheon, it was time to hunt Easter eggs. What a wonderful day!

Little Caesar's Pizza Fundraiser

Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool cleared over $1500.00 on their Little Caesar's Fundraiser. Special thanks goes to each of the hardworking parents who sold the pizza kits and to the volunteers who help sort and assemble the kits.

Top sellers of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool's Little Caesar's Pizza Kits were Emma Jakobeit (right), first place, and Jena Jobb (left) , second place. Both will receive Gourmet Salad Fixin's Kits as their thanks for doing such an outstanding job. The Little Caesar Pizza Kits can be picked up at  Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool, 800 North Franklin, on April 2.

The four-year-old classes went to Carolyn's Gardens on March 5 and enjoyed learning about plants and helping Mrs. Carolyn plant her garden.
In observance of National Lutheran Schools Week, Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool in La Grange invited the Happy Scrappers quilting group to join them as they released balloons with special messages inside on Friday, March 6. The students and the quilters enjoyed watching the balloons fly away in the gusty wind.

(Left) Retired school teacher Barbara Brauner read to the three-year-old classes.
Retired teacher Sondra Cooper came to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool to read to Jennifer Golan's  four-year-old class on February 19. Volunteer readers are always welcome. Call the preschool office at 968-5913 if you would like to volunteer. Three- year -old boys are such good friends. Three-year-old students enjoy learning on the computer.
Mrs. Becky did not let any ants invade their picnic. Two of the three-year-old students enjoyed the picnic, too. Other two-year-old girls enjoyed painting.
A dress-up party is also fun and educational. Mrs. Deb's four-year-old class learned about healthy teeth and made their own toothbrush!
Two year old students love to play outside on the see-saw.
The three-year-olds love to color. Mrs. Carolyn had a "snowball fight"  and the students went "ice skating: while learning about cold weather and freezing temperatures. Mrs. Carolyn brought in reinforcements from Ms. Charlene to help her in her snow ball fun with the science students.
It's January in Texas, and the students at Mt. Calvary Preschool can still enjoy playing outside in the warm sunshine.
The afternoon classes practice their singing of "This Little Gospel Light of Mine" that they  will sing at Mt. Calvary on Sunday, January 25.

The four-year-old classes studied the letter "K" and had a fun time flying their hand-made kites in the windy January weather.
