Members of the La Grange High School National Honor Society can often be seen as they volunteer their time to help kindergarten and first grade students who come to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool for after-school care.
Each Friday at 9:00 AM the preschool students have chapel. On December 11, in order to prepare for the Christmas holidays, members of Becky Weikel's and Deb Conway's classes acted out the story of Mary and Joseph as they journeyed to Bethlehem to be counted in the census as decreed by Caesar Augustus.
Acting the part of Mary was Charlee Wessels; Joseph was Anthony Weikel; the inn keeper was Quade Gillum; the angel was Paige Hambright; and the shepherds were Parker Vitek, Dylan Fritts, and Erik Jakobeit. All students in the two classes sang "Away in a Manger" at the conclusion of the service.

Kat Pinson and Quade Gillum did a great job of leading the Pledge to the Christian Flag and the Lord's Prayer at chapel on December 4.
Jennifer Golan's class was the first to make decorations for the preschool students' Christmas tree.
With the help of volunteers Brandy Gross and Dorothy Kaspar, the preschool is decorated for Christmas. Christmas is the season for giving, and Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool is so fortunate to have so many volunteers who are willing to give their time to assist in projects. Thanks, volunteers!

Thanksgiving

Mt. Calvary Preschool celebrated Thanksgiving by having a turkey and dressing lunch and decorating the tables with placemats made by the students.  Mrs. Deb's and Mrs. Becky's classes dressed up as Indians and pilgrims.
