Make a Difference - Volunteer!

You can make a difference in the life of others by volunteering. You can also serve the Lord with your time and talents. The list below is just some of the ways you can volunteer. If there is something you'd like to offer that is not listed here, just call the church office!
Little or no training is needed for any of these volunteering opportunities. No experience is needed for any!
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
A.M.E.N. - The Lord commanded us to feed the hungry. Mt. Calvary lives this commission by volunteering at A.M.E.N. )Area Ministries for Emergency Needs), the local food pantry, on a regular basis. The food pantry provides a vital human service in Fayette County, and volunteers like ours keep it running. Donations may be made to AMEN at 805 Mode Lane, La Grange, TX 78945.
SECOND CHANCE - is a resale store here in La Grange that serves all of Fayette County. The shop accepts donations from the public and resells items such as clothing, household goods, small appliances, and furniture that are in good, working, usable condition. These items are sold at very low prices in order to benefit the underprivileged members of our community. It is run by a coalition of seven local churches, including Mt. Calvary. Mt. Calvary’s turn to operate the store comes about every seven weeks. All profits from the sale of these items are then given to local charities. The churches receive no money from Second Chance.
